Peter McAniff and Jerilyn Castillo

Peter McAniff has worked in the mergers and acquisitions groups at Banc of America Securities, Lehman Brothers, and JPMorgan. Peter holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a JD from the UCLA School of Law.

Jerilyn Castillo has worked in the mergers and acquisitions and global power and energy groups at JPMorgan. Jerilyn is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Their 18 years of combined investment banking experience spans corporate mergers, sales of companies and assets, acquisitions, restructurings, and capital raising transactions for multinational companies in the energy, utilities, industrials, consumer products, and food and beverage sectors. In addition to their work on behalf of corporate clients, both Jerilyn and Peter have spent a significant amount of time recruiting as well as developing and leading training and mentoring programs. They have reviewed thousands of resumes, interviewed hundreds of aspiring bankers, and have trained numerous investment banking analysts and associates as well as strategic planning professionals and corporate executives.

The authors believe strongly that success in any endeavor is a function of hard work and access to the proper tools. They wrote The Practitioner’s Guide to Investment Banking, Mergers & acquisitions, Corporate Finance and The Recruiting Guide to Investment Banking to help those who have not necessarily had access to the proper tools. If these books helped you in any way or if you have comments on how to improve future editions, the authors would enjoy hearing from you.
